BE PREPARED TO VOTE
The next election date is the 2020 General Election. Election Day is officially November 3, 2020.
To participate in the 2020 General Election, voters must register by October 13, 2020.
BALLOTS WILL BE MAILED TO YOU
All registered voters will receive a ballot by mail from the Essex County Clerk's Office. Ballots must be sent by mail by the Clerk's Office no later than Monday October 5, 2020.

The 2020 General Election Sample Ballot for West Caldwell
MANY OPTIONS TO RETURN YOUR COMPLETED BALLOT
Ballot Drop Box is located at the entrance to the West Caldwell Municipal Building, 30 Clinton Road
(RECOMMENDED) Drop your ballot in the West Caldwell Official Ballot Drop Box at the West Caldwell Municipal Building, 30 Clinton Road. Ballots will be collected DAILY from the secure, 24-hour monitored Drop Box by County officials. Ballots must be in the Drop Box by 8PM on Nov. 3.
Hand deliver your ballot to the Essex County Board of Elections at 465 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Newark. You must hand deliver by Nov. 3.
Mail your ballot via the U.S. Postal Service. All ballots will have prepaid postage; a stamp is not needed. Be sure to mail your ballot EARLY. All ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by the County by Nov. 10 to be counted.
Hand completed ballot to poll worker at the West Caldwell Polling Location. On Election Day, you may hand-deliver your completed ballot to a poll worker at the polling location at the West Caldwell Municipal Building.
TRACK YOUR BALLOT - MAKE SURE ITS RECEIVED
Voters can track their Ballot and confirm it has been received by signing up for NJ Public Voter Access. Upon sign-in, you can check if your Ballot has been received.
West Caldwell Democrats will be coordinating with the Essex County Clerk's Office to obtain lists of cast ballots. You can request a status update for your ballot by emailing [email protected]
VOTERS MAY INSTEAD CHOOSE TO VOTE IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY
If you prefer to vote in person, voters may cast their ballot on November 3 at the West Caldwell Polling Location at the West Caldwell Municipal Building, 30 Clinton Road. Polls will be open from 6AM to 8PM.
